Tending the butter lamps. In the Tsuglakhang Temple right outside Dalai Lama's residence in McLeod Ganj. Butter lamps are a common feature in Tibetan Buddhist temples all over the Himalayas. Traditionally the lamps burn clarified yak butter, but today often use vegetable ghee.
