The wonderful Khangah Shah-i-Hamadan is one of the oldest mosques in Srinagar, built in 1359 AD. The structure is a magnificent example of wood architecture and has been built without nails. The front and interior of the mosque is covered with painted papier mache reliefs and colored wood panelling.
