The narrow As-Siq, the lovely 1200 meter long and deep gorge is the ancient main entrance track to Petra. The soaring cliffs are up to 80 meters high and falcons are hunting high above.
During the walk the visitor will see many things typical of the stunning beauty of Petra; strange geological formations, colorful odd-shaped cliffs, water channels cut into the rock, dams and votive-niches carved into the rock.
After the relaxing walk in the beautiful As-Siq it's a magic moment when the huge iconic monument Al-Khazneh appear in front of you.
Petra, Jordan.
