This is three days after the IS terror attacks in Paris with 129 killed and 352 injured.
“Ground Zero” is the site in Kuta where two bombs killed 202 and injured 209 persons on October 12, 2002. Two popular and busy nightclubs (Paddy’s Pub and Sari Club) in Kuta was targeted, the explosions killing Indonesians and foreigners from 22 countries. Also the US Embassy in Denpasar was on the same time the target for a smaller bomb. The Al-Qaeda-linked terror group Jemaah Islamiyah was responsible for the bombings. Three persons involved were later sentenced to death.
