The contractor Svensk Markservice AB is building the Worlds first "Puckelball field" in the Kroksback Park in Malmo, Southern Sweden.
The unusual soccer field 25 x 40 meter is designed by Swedish artist Johan Ferner Strom ( http://www.johanstrom.com ). The soccer field is regarded both as a interactive sculpture and an arena for playful competition.
Drawings and construction details are carried out by the engineering company Ramboll ( http://www.ramboll.se ).
The smooth rolling L-shaped concrete elements forming the rim around the field are manufactured by S:t Eriks ( http://www.steriks.se ), specialists in prefabricated concrete elements.
The surface of the field will be artificial grass.
The unusual soccer field will open to the public in September 2009.
The Puckelball field is design protected.
